Submitting Rockets to Alameda County Fair

One of the fun parts of building rockets in the 4-H Rocketry Project is that they can be submitted to the Alameda County Fair for them to be seen by everyone and judged. I definitely encourage everyone to submit their personal project rockets, and I see no reason not to submit the little Vikings, too.

The form for submitting your rocket for the fair must be turned in by next Saturday, May 12th, 2007. The rockets themselves aren't turned in until June 8th or 9th, so you have a whole month to finish up anything not quite done or pretty up anything that is.

Submit your entry on-line: https://www.pdq-entry.com/alamfair/

Best way to submit your entry is on-line by going to https://www.pdq-entry.com/alamfair/. You can use one account for multiple kids. Submit the rocket(s). Use a credit card for the entry fee. Then turn in the rocket by June 9th.

You are submitting a Youth Hobby entry in Mechanical Sciences in the rocketry class.

The fair itself runs from June 27th to July 8th. By submitting an entry, you'll get yourself a free ticket! (Your parents have to buy their own, though.)

After the fair is over, you need to pick up your rocket again on July 11th.
